What is Pack-Out?

Contrary to its nomenclature, pack-out refers to far more than just the physical act of packing up and carrying your personal belongings out of your home. Pack-out involves removal, cleaning, and restoration of personal property.

We inspect the property, form a course of action, and use the latest and most advanced methods and equipment to execute the transfer of your belongings from your home and to the secure location at which cleaning and restoration can take place.

The Pack-Out Process

Following a fire, flood, or otherwise significantly damaging event, our first goal is to eliminate the threat and ensure you and your family’s safety. Once we are sure the situation has been contained, we can begin the pack-out process, which involves removing property that has or could possibly be damaged

1. Prior to beginning the pack-out process, 24 Hour Flood Pros™ performs a thorough inspection of the property. This includes both the damaged area, which can tell us more about the nature of the damage to your possessions, and the personal property itself. The inspection includes documenting every last item, regardless of the level of damage or whether it can or can’t be fully restored. 
2. Once items marked for pack-out have been removed, we make structural repairs to the property. Items that don’t require pack-out and repair are secured and protected within marked vehicles or company storage areas. This will depend on factors such as weather conditions, the degree of damage, the breadth of damage, and much more. 
3. Our first cleaning steps focus on removing any remnants of the damage factor. Examples of damage factors include burn residue from fires, remaining moisture from floods and rains, or detritus from foreign objects that blew into your home and caused damage to the property and belongings. Some items will have to be to cleaned on location to rid the entire area of chemical components such as acidic residue or even mold if enough time has passed to allow for buildup. The sooner you contact us, the quicker and more effective we can be.
4. All items will be marked and organized for easy identification. Fragile and precious items will be wrapped, boxed, and handled properly. We also provide inventory documentation of every last item so you can keep track of everything removed and cleaned during the pack-out process. 
5. We use the latest techniques and technologies to set a basis for how to approach each specific circumstance. For example, we use high-factor or high-intensity lighting to inspect every nook and corner of larger items such as couches and beds. These tools allow us to catch every last instance of damage and soil. 
6. In transport to 24 Hour Flood Pros™ sites are secured in padded trucks, straps, and packed for optimal protection of your possessions. 
7. At least two operational supervisors remain on staff at all times, regardless of the hour, as we service your possessions. This goes for work done on your property or at our company site.
